A Butterfly Freed
Multitudes war for rest; still shackles pinch, scrap and oppress.
In cemeteries far and wide buried beneath: hatred and pride.
Babies who softly coo stretch forth for freedom; liberty too.
Africa's desert plains and farmers kneeling, praying: "Rain" feel pain.
Under bridges rats scratch, scudder; couples huddle, old men mutter.
IV's hang; yet violence bangs shut coffins as mothers mourn.
Born to be worn, these biting chains all mankind adorn.
But, one death in ransom performed provides freedom for eternity.
Though, sin and grave us bind; ... Our Hope Flies Freely.
"Beautiful butterfly, transport our faith; continue this: Rise and fly!"
