A Time for Silence
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)
Neglect
not
a pause
Moments in mind
amid turmoil
Dissents
outside your core.
A Breeze of Reflection
Sweetly
eases the soreness
of twisting/
turning
Dampening
spreads
of
Nights sweats
Induced by
frightful dragons of dread
wearing scales of hunger
tearing with teeth
grinding
precious tin,
cedar or metal
from imperative
overhead.
Stealing your calm.
Breaking your peace
into tiny particles like chaff
circling back
a whirlwind
causing you blind.
Winding and winding
in an imaginary maze
decimating golden time.
Stay
moments in sought silence
to reflect
redefine
in stillness.
In
Quiet.
Upon beauty of sight and sound
from memory
or present surrounds.
But mainly upon
Wisdom
Divine
Releasing
thunderous quakes
into
bearable shakes
or
Lightening
Souls
for future
familial bonding acts of
Love
Pure
to gracefully unfold
with petals soft and lovely.
Bouquets.
Cherished.
For Others to Imitate.
Appreciate.
Behold.

What does this quote say to you? Does solitude give birth to the soul's poetry...and why? Dig into your psyche and write what this makes you feel.
