of our lives
on disc or card,

on monitor,

unreeled
lickety-split.

Black and whites;
eyes awful in red;

at times
majestic in color;

then
suddenly...
blank,

Black?

Battery's dead.

But wait!... A video of our life
Someone is playing.

Fast forward;
reverse;

some moments in pause.

Why at these points
He hesitates,
is studiously delaying?

Edit. Clip. Splice.

(This job's
Not up for hire.)

Some vintage material
inserted.

Ah! Now...
His heart's
Desire

to recharge
again

our battery
for more footage.

Back
on this
Glorious earth.

Our opportunity--Eternity!

Yes,
Life
Renewed

for many to
acquire,

and so we cherish our lives
grateful for His promise
we're now
thus inspired.
